Psychology of Self Defense: 3 Pathological Threats

mountain man gear list

Psychological self defense refers to the threat of injury to the self as a threat to identity. The fact that the threat to one's identity is pathological means it doesn't care who is hurt, often hinders this defensive response. To change the perception of the threat, it is important to affirm a value that you hold. Below are three examples. Learn more about each one.

Psychopaths don’t give a damn about who is hurt

Unless you have a very strong instinct for self defense, a psychopath will not care who gets hurt. They are not remorseful for their actions, and they don't care about the hurt. They don't care about the hurt they cause and won't feel bad about it. Psychopaths have a highly inflated sense of self. They believe that all rules don't apply. These people will do any thing they can to get away from the law, including harming others.

Pathological - they don't care who gets hurt

Psychopaths, on the contrary, don't care whether someone is hurt in self-defense and are likely to manipulate others. Psychopaths create fear in their victims and cover their threats with stories about disappearances or family secrets. This manipulation strategy plays on victims' emotions and minds so that they comply with the bully.

Imperfect self defence

There is a big difference between ordinary and imperfect self-defense. Perfect self-defense is when a person believes they are in imminent threat and has no other option but to use deadly force for their protection. This doctrine is not like ordinary self-defense and can only be used in situations where the individual is trying to defend himself or herself against a deadly threat.

Forcing death

When self defense is being used, deadly force is permitted if the person using it believes that he/she will be seriously injured/killed. To justify the use forceful violence, a rapist must make threats to inflict serious injury or death on the victim. There are four main elements that make force deadly. These elements are: Self defense must be justified by unprovoked attacks, reasonable fear of harm, or death, and force must only be used when necessary. However, there are two exceptions to this rule: excessive force during the initial attack and withdrawal.

Motivational theory

R.W. The protection motivation theory was developed by R.W. Rogers in 1975. It was further expanded in 1983. The threat of cancer and smoking cessation were two major topics. Some minor topics included the use of a bicycle helmet, reducing caffeine intake, improving oral hygiene, pain management in the post-surgical period, and safe pesticide use. The research shows that the psychological as well as physiological factors that impact self defense are the identical to other topics.

Neglect

Denial is a primitive defence mechanism. It can work alone or with other subtle mechanisms to prevent a person from dealing with unpleasant emotions or areas of life. One example is when a student refuses to acknowledge their apparent inexperience while taking a test. Similarly, a person may avoid acknowledging their lack of preparation in a presentation by minimizing their effort. In some cases, however, denial in self defense may be harmful.

How to keep food alive in a survival situation

It is best to dry food when it is in urgent need. Drying foods removes moisture which makes them last longer. It also reduces bacteria growth.

Dried fruits can be used as snacks in emergencies and don't require cooking. You can take them with you and eat as many as you wish without worrying about weight gain.

While you can dry fruit at your home using a dehydrator and a sun oven, it's much more convenient to do so in a commercial setting. To dry any type of food, you could use a sun oven, such as meats, fish, vegetables and grains.

Food preservation is best done by making sure it is airtight. This will prevent oxygen from getting into the container and spoiling food. It is not necessary to add preservatives if you seal the container well enough.

If you do decide to add preservatives, try adding salt first. Salt helps prevent mold growth. Next, you should add vinegar. Vinegar kills harmful bacteria and prevents mold growth.

To get started, you'll need to cut up your food into small pieces. You can use scissors or a knife. Be sure to pack everything securely so no air can get inside.

Next, place the food in a bag. Keep the food in the bag until it dries completely.

Once food has dried completely, it can be stored in a sealed container. It is important not to let food contact other things.
